My Internet Marketing Plan For 2009

For 2009, I’m keeping it simple, so that my Internet Marketing plan is easy to implement and I can monitor the results.
Video
Video is a must for 2009.
This will be my main communication tool in 2009, it’s far easy to show people what to do than try to write about it.
I have everything ready to start using video and I would have started today, but I’ve the Flu, so I’ve decided to wait until I sound human again.
Keyword Research
I spent a lot of time (and money) learning advanced Keyword Research skills in 2008, so they will be another big part of my Internet marketing plan.
I’ll be doing Keyword Research for Video, Blog posts, SEO, Adwords and some deep long tail Keyword Research.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
This year, SEO has dropped from my number 1 slot to number 3, mainly due to the fact that it’s now far easier to do, when the correct Keyword Research has been done.
My Blog
Yes, my Blog is going to be a major part of my Internet marketing plan
Social Networking
I’m a member of more that 50 social networks and this year I’ll start to get active in the social networks that I’ve identified are worth my time.
Pay Per Click Advertising
I’ll be doing more pay per click advertising this year, using Google Adwords™ and a few more that are reportedly getting good results.
It’s time to use the advance pay per click advertising skills I learned in 2008.
That’s it, nice and simple. Each of these main headings have many elements to them and I’ll gradually go into more detail about them in the next few months.
Keeping it simple has allowed me to plan my marketing to fit into my week very nicely.
I’ll be posting about what I’m doing as I progress, so make sure you are getting my updates.

Hi Eoin,
I would encourage you to start the videos (if you have the energy) even if you are sick. I think it might make the personal connection stronger with your audience.

Hi Jim,
I think you picked the two most important areas for 2009.
I think that Video is going to go completely HD during 2009, YouTube are already showing the way forward and this increase in quality can only bring good things for all of us.

Hey Eoin!
Wow… you are a member of 50 social networks??!! How do you find the time to go to them all? I am really interested to know which ones you think are worth while because social marketing is one of the places I am going to push majorly.
I also am going to make a video. I made a little one to help get people to sign up for Alex’s e-book but I haven’t tried to make one with myself in it yet. I did buy a camcorder, and then a webcam. (I watched some videos on making videos and he was using a webcam to make them. It seems like it might be easier to talk into a webcam instead of a video at first.)

Hi Beth,
I don’t visit all 50 social networks, in fact I visit less than 10 now.
During 2007 and 2008 I gradually evaluated each, so I know where to spend my time and where to just have a profile.
